The leaf is shaped like a deer’s tongue. The small heads give dark green lettuce with a firm core. The leaves are fleshy, crisp, and of extraordinary sweetness. The sweetness and lack of bitterness makes it resemble romaine lettuce in flavour. It rarely bolts, so it can be grown all season. We added this rare variety to our selection and propagation to share it with growers like you.
